ZD Writing Contest

posted in Site News by slein on Feb 3rd, 2003

Listen up everyone, I have some exciting news. ZD, in partnership with the ZTNet Store and the MagicEngine engine authors, is having a writing contest. The topic is, "What do you think are the high and low points in emulation and the emulation community?". Tell us your view of emulation, what you think has improved/degraded over the years, what you see happening in the future, etc. The minimum word count is 300, but more is encouraged. Judging will be done by myself and mushroomblue, and will be based on originality, merit, accuracy, grammar and feeling. Two winners will be awarded prizes. The first place winner will receive any item up to $35 USD (not including shipping) at the ZTNet Store, and a registered copy of the TurboGrafx-16 emulator MagicEngine. The runner-up will receive a memory card for the system of their choice (choices are Dreamcast, PSX, and GameCube), as well as a registered copy of MagicEngine. You can send your submissions to me at slein@zophar.net with the subject line "ZD Writing Contest". The deadline is 02/18/03 at 11:59pm. Official rules can be found here. Please adhere to the rules, or else your submission will be deleted. The winners will be announced on 02/28/03. Good luck, and may the best man (or woman :)) win.
