Z-Net v1.30

posted in Utility Release by narvick on Mar 23rd, 2004

DarkAkuma released another version of his mIRC script that allows players to host/find others for multiplayer games using ZSNES. If there are any bugs you need to report with this version, do so here. New in this version:
  • Moved protocol settings to the menu bar of the main Z-Net window. And added a new auto select option. This option means you don't care which you use, cause both work. So you will automatically be set the same protocol that the other person is using. In the case of both people having this new option set on, they will both be set to TCP/IP for this session.
  • Moved Send and Request buttons the the "File" menu in the menu bar. Also, now they are disabled until server/client is selected, and then only client will be able to request, and only server will be able to send
  • Moved voice chat options to the "Options" menu in the menu bar of the main Z-Net window. Few people use it, so it shouldn't be taking of space, or getting in the way
  • Disabled the ability to edit IP, unless advanced mode is on. Since really, it's an option for only advanced users
  • Added an option to set the delay timer on auto starting a game. Setting this higher may reduce the chances of getting a can't connect to other side error, since if server is a little laggy, client might not be, and might try to connect to host before ZSNES has loaded up for him
  • Added a message to let server know if client has the game or not
  • New message field in add configure window. Can type messages here like "no 56k", "no downloads", "warning bad router", etc.
  • Changed the look of the main Z-Net window, since some of the options were moved
