Translation Overhaul - Step One

posted in Site News by inverse on Jul 6th, 2001

As the first step in completely overhauling the translation/hacking area of Zophar's Domain, the English Translations section has been entirely rebuilt from scratch. All of the data should be accurate and up-to-date but I would appreciate all ROM hackers taking a look at their projects to check for accuracy. The information has also been added into a new database system so the section truly is new & improved. Two of the newest additions are AstroFang: Super Machines (NES) from Caution and a newly improved Final Fantasy IV (SNES) patch from J2e, both of which were released this week. If you find any errors or omissions, let me know. In addition, Zophar's Domain will now only cover complete and near-complete (90%+) translation patch releases. As for Non-English Translations, they will be receiving an overhaul as well, hopefully in the very near future. I need someone to help compile data for this section, so if you're interested in helping out, send an e-mail to inverse@zophar.net. I'm working on an overhaul for the ROM hacking utilities & documents sections also. As you've likely already ascertained, I've returned to maintain the translation section. For those of you that don't know me, I'm InVerse. I've been a ZD maintainer in the past and I've been translating ROMs for over 2 years now. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me or post over on the ROM Hacking forum and keep submitting translation news as well.
