SNESGT v0.13

posted in Emulator Release by narvick on Nov 12th, 2003

GIGO and Hii have updated their SNES emulator SNESGT again today! This page is somewhat notorious for not translating well, however, here's a translation courtesy of Paul Jensen:
"SNESGT Update - BSX SatellaView memory map is not still not perfectly implemented, but I think that a considerable number of titles should now function as normal. - It remains to be seen whether the implementation of BSX SatellaView time information acquisition mechanism* will work in all cases, but all presently-tested games work OK. This hasn't really been established (?), but for the time being, (BSX SatellaView games) will become active (when the counter reaches) 18:02:59 (H:M:S). It returns only hours, minutes, and seconds; it doesn't also return the direct value. - Fixed a tiny UI bug. Revised the number of various remaining bugs that I can think of. - Fixed a bug where speed would drop when the UI is brought up when in fullscreen mode. The bug where the (displayed) image can become corrupted when using software zoom in fulscreen mode still has not been fixed. - Adjusted slipping synchronization of the sound buffer and the CPU. Improves conditions where sounds were getting cut off such as in the BGMs in FF4. It's kind of a hack (lit. it's not a fundamental solution), so it's still a little strange. - Some warnings regarding BSX: 1. (Something about improper detection of interleaved ROM images) 2. In Options - Miscellaneous - BSROM, if no BIOS image has been specified, lots of things may not work as hoped. (?) We welcome all technical information, reports that everything works OK ( lit. behavior confirmation), and bug reports. Thank you." * I think this might mean "counter". I don't know if this is totally accurate, but at least it's better than Babelfish! :)
