posted in Utility Release by narvick on Jan 26th, 2004SNESAmp is a popular Winamp plugin to play Super Nintendo SPC (music) files and is compatible with Winamp 2.x/5. This is the first release since August. What's new:
- Fields in the ID666 dialog are now readable when viewing an .spc from an .rsn archive
- Added customizable file extensions
- Fixed window snapping and placement issues when using the Modern skin in Winamp 5
- Rewrote the MMX mixing code. Sample output is now identical to the SNES
- Improved synchronization between the SPC700 and DSP
- Added 24- and 32-bit sample support to the MMX routine
- The DSP can now be emulated at 32KHz while the final output is upsampled and filtered to better simulate the analog hardware
- Replaced the fake low-pass filter with a 32-tap FIR filter
- Output is inverted only when analog simulation is enabled
- Obtained an accurate copy of the gaussian look-up table used in the SNES
- Improved the volume envelope code
- Echo FIR filter coefficients were getting applied in reverse order
