Sidebar Changes

Those of you that have visited our site in the past 12 hours may have noticed a dramatic change in the size and content of the sidebar. This is part of a redesign effort that will hopefully lead to a nicer, easier to navigate, Zophar's Domain. So far, the feedback has been positive, so I expect that it will be kept in a state that is similar, if not identical, to the way it is now.

I made the changes to be simple and easily understood without any external aid, but I'll review them for those familiar with the old design. Basically, we've taken the major sections (like "Frontends", they used to be menus on the sidebar), and condensed them into one link. That link takes you to another index page in which you can choose more specifically where you want to go (like "NES Frontends"). A few organizational changes of note:
  • The "Winamp" section is now part of utilities
  • Translation documents and table files are now under "Technical Documents"
  • Translation utilities are now under "Utilities"
  • The hacks are now their own section
All of these things are subject to change because the redesign is an ongoing process. I expect that the utilities section, in particular, will be further subdivided and better organized in the near future. Thank you and have a nice day.
