RAINE v0.39.2

posted in Emulator Release by narvick on Jan 24th, 2004

Tux has updated his multi-arcade emulator RAINE again today! He says the changes aren't that big this time, just slow improvements. What's new:
  • Raine should now always choose automatically its video mode by default, it should fix the problem it has when using the svgalib for the first time and it does not automatically changes its video mode
  • The joystick default bindings do not make the screen to scroll anymore when it's too big to fit on your display. But the joystick settings are saved in your config file so you might have to erase it or manually update it if you are annoyed by these bindings
  • Taito F2 changes:
    • Added to the new driver:
      • Final Blow
      • Growl (added controls for player 3 and 4, not sure it will be useful, but anyway...)
      • Gun Frontier (loading a savegame does not rotate the text on screen anymore and fixed some little priorities problems)
      • Camel Try (replaced Camel Try US by the real alternate version which uses a different sound chip. The sound is not very good though, it's just a curiosity)
    • Also fixed some alignment problems in a lot of games
  • Fixed the Truxton bugs found by Zzap!Raine team... !
  • And while I was at it, I made Demon's World fully playable
