New Boards
posted in Site News by swampgas on May 1st, 2001I finally got sick of the nonsense associated with the old boards (plus I hate Perl), so we've upgraded to the latest PHP version of WWWThreads. They're not exactly the prettiest boards...I still have yet to customize them, but they're fully functional. Not only that, but after tweaking, coding, many cans of Whoop-Ass, many cups of coffee and many cans of Mountain Dew, I've transfered all active board users (about 360 accounts) as well as 98% of the threads over to the new boards. Make sure you update your profile because it has a bunch of new and cool stuff. Here's the problem. It costs $ 100, and I paid that out of my pocket. So, I'm gladly accepting donations towards the cost of this new software (20 people out of the 30,000 we see per day donate $ 5 and we're set). You can email me for the info (Paypal, check..whatever). Anyhoo, enjoy...and remember, this is straight out-the-box WWWThreads...I still have yet to play with it and make the changes (so it looks more ZD-ish).
