I guess word spread quickly and now people are infecting themselves like mad. I went into #ZSNES on Efnet and talked about it...apparently it's a trojan which opens up a service port on your machine and that enables them to steal passwords. If you did infect yourself with this "SuperEmu" trojan, slow has written a text file explaining how to remove it (linked below). Any McAfee people want to add it?
  • Removal instructions Update: BLT wrote in and said McAfee had detected the Backdoor-G22 virus when he tried to access the fake emulator. As long as your AV program is up to date, you should be fine.
  • Info about Backdoor-G2 (original of G22)
