MacMAME v0.66.1

posted in Emulator Release by grammarian on Mar 22nd, 2003

MacMAME has been updated to v0.66.1, which is mainly a bugfix release of the recent v0.66 release. Here's what is new:
  • Fixed issue with erratic framerates and performance
  • Added support for CHD images.
  • Fixed oddities with some CPS2 games like Giga Wing and SF3 Alpha.
  • Fixed issue with crashes and other strangeness for games that use the ADSP 210x cores.
  • If you had more than one gamepad in OSX, the directional pad would not be recognized on any but the first.
  • The PPC 8051 core was missing an opcode, which caused Tube Panic and Roller Jammer to look funny.
  • When force-feedback support was added to Jaguar, HID support in MacMAME stopped working for some users. This should now be fixed.
  • In sync with the Win32 0.66 build. There are many changes and bugfixes to the Mac code as part of this process. Note also that starting with MacMAME 0.67, support for the classic MacOS will be dropped.
  • Preliminary support for HID devices that report themselves as "hatswitches" under OSX.
