Hoxs64 v1.0.2.0

posted in Emulator Release by narvick on Feb 5th, 2004

Hoxs64 is a Commodore 64 emulator for Windows by David Horrocks and requires Direct X 7+ to run. Also, this is the first update in almost a year. Changes in this version:
  • Direct Sound set to software mode. Some machines show much poorer performance with hardware sound even with fast processors and memory. This is probably because hardware sound is optimized for large sound buffers and Hoxs64 uses small buffers. Try this version if sound is jerky with 600+Mhz PC
  • No other fixes, so only download if you have jerky sound with a fast machine
