Glide64 v0.41

posted in Utility Release by grammarian on May 10th, 2003

Glide64, a graphics plugin for many N64 emulators on computers using 3dfx video cards, has been updated to version 0.41, which is mainly a bugfix release. Here's the changes:
  • Fixed primdepth loading. Billboard objects (energy cells, flowers, etc.) in SpaceStation Silicon Valley are fixed too. Thanks to Rice for the bug report.
  • Coplanar (decal) surfaces are finally fixed, I hope. At least the trail in Zelda: OoT looks correct. Thanks to Rice for the bug report and advice.
  • Fixed palette loading for color indexed textures. This fixed colors in StarCraft 64 main menu. Thanks to Whitesnake for the bug report, and to Rice's plugin sources.
  • Added support for game settings in .ini file. If you run some game with special settings, you can add these settings into the .ini file, and the plugin will use them instead of the default settings.
  • New .ini file added by Razile64, with the best .ini settings for many games. You can use it instead of the default file.
If you'd like to grab this updated plugin, you can obtain it from our Plugins for N64 Emulators page! Thanks (again) to DarkMazda for the heads-up!
