BeS9x v1.39.1
posted in Emulator Release by narvick on Apr 1st, 2003BeS9x is an excellent port of SNES9x, obviously a Super Nintendo emulator, to the BeOS operating system by Caz. Here's the what's new goodness:
- Fixed a bug when quitting from fullscreen when BeS9x was dragged to a new workspace and BeS9x was closed from that workspace, BeS9x would restore the previous workspace screen resolution
- Scanline, Double and LCD modes are now available in 8, 16, 32 desktop depths, 2xSaI modes are only available in 16 and 32 desktop depths. You should still use a 16 bit desktop for best performance
- Added a new stretch scanline mode to fullscreen, high res is supported in this mode
- Changed the Controller dialog's key sensitivity. Now keys should be accepted immediately
- Added a Snooze option. BeS9x uses Snooze as default, but you can disable it to allow BeS9x to use more CPU for higher framerates on low-end machines, or at least a more consistent framerate when FPS drops below 60fps
- Added Pause on Inactive option. With this option enabled, BeS9x will stop emulation when the window is hidden or dragged to another workspace
- BeS9x can now be closed with the Escape key at any time
