Bust-M-Up
Bust-A-Move Hack for Nintendo: Super Nintendo Entertainment System<< Go to Bust-A-Move hacks list
This hack makes a number of major changes to the game, including a re-map of all 100 levels, a requirement of four same-color bubbles to pop (instead of the usual three), and the addition of "unpoppable" bubbles.

Mr. Karate says:
I'll be frank..... This hack sort of breaks the game.
"A number of changes"..... Sure, but you didn't mention the important ones at all in your description!
The biggest changes are
1. how the game will get stuck on a black screen if you're not pressing start during the Taito logo screen,
2. The bubbles now SNAP to the target, instead of gliding all the way there.... Essentially, collision is somewhat screwy now, at least in a visual sense.
And 3. The WORST of all the changes, is how YOU CAN NO LONGER SEE WHICH SHIT YOU HAVE CURRENTLY LOADED!
It will trip you up like crazy.
You can see what shot you fire next but not your current color, so when you look down for what color you're supposed to be firing you end up looking at what's coming next thinking that's what you currently have, and it makes you misfire constantly because you're misjudging what color you have loaded.
This hack wouldn't be as amateur if you had just made it so you can still see which shot you're shooting next,
But combining that with the other problems...... This just ain't it, bud.
You went just a little too far there, and made an easy to pick up and play classic and do a frustrating mess that now actually needs improved.
The game was fine as is, so I was truly curious to see what this hack would entail..... Turns out, it was nothing but downgrades.
I'd say only play this if you're looking for a real challenge.
And by the way, don't expect any new levels..... I played through the first five and saw nothing different
