Welcome to Ragnarosen's Dragon Warrior 3 16-Bit ZST!

Let's get down to business. De-Jap Translations has only completed about 30% of the game's
translation from Japanese, so most of the words are in garbled random letters and ASCII
characters. So, here're some of the more important things to remember:

If you've played DW3 for the 8-bit NES, you probably already know what to do. But if you
haven't, download the DW3 FAQ/Walkthrough by Daniel Wagoner. (You can find it at RPGamer.)
The 16-bit remix has the same game play, but new weapons, items, monsters, the new Thief job
class, mini-games, and enhanced graphics.

The DQ3 Remix ROM is extremely hard to find, but there's one DQ/DW emulation site that has it
and a whole bunch of other things related to Enix's superior RPG series. Here it is:

And I believe you can download the ROM patch direct from Zophar's Domain, but I'm not sure...

Perhaps the most awesome item that Tyvek possesses is the BAG, which was not present in the
American 8-bit version. It can hold an unlimited amount of items, and is perfect for storing
the items not currently in use by Tyvek's party. Thus, the role of the Vault in storing items
is rendered obsolete.

Here's a little trick that gives you unlimited MP. You can use all your MP on your most power-
ful spells and still enter the next battle with maximum MP. In Tyvek's BAG, you will find sev-
eral Wizard Rings, labeled "BYlYqbs." They restore 10 to 40 MP with each use, but are fragile
and may shatter after using them. To make sure you don't lose one of these irreplaceable items,
save your state (F2) before using it. If it doesn't break, save again. But if it does break,
re-load your state (F4) and the ring will be restored. Keep doing this until the ring doesn't
break, and until your party has its maximum MP, and there'll be no stoppin' you!

In addition to the Weapon/Armor/Shield/Helmet, DW316BIT has a number of accessories, or "orna-
ments," that increase your status or make you stronger. One of them, the Meteorite Armband, was
in the original 8-bit version. The following is a list of all the ornaments that Tyvek has
found in his journey:

BFlY(helmet)arie-	"Emblem of Fury" (Increases Attack Power by 8)
BYQYqbs "Ring of Life" (Increases HP with every step)
ofashaeriFX "Nerd's Glasses" (Increases Intelligence by 15)
CKggicasar "Rabbit Ears" (Cannot be used by Pilgrims or Wizards, effect unknown)
ECJtYhaolssef "Royal Tiara" (Females only, Increases Luck by 15)
al-(helmet)-neinar	"Garter Belt" (Females only, Increases Defense Power by 3)
GtYat(shield)icch	"Golden Cufflink" (Males only, Increases Luck by 20)
HLIWJJo "Unbroken Heart" (Increases Vitality by 10)
JCIRYCSs "Fighter's Ring" (Increases Attack Power by 15)
NBUmfjl "Sacred Amulet" (Tyvek only, Increases Luck by 30)
QFkYqbs "Strength Ring" (Increases Attack Power by 7)
aHABerasat "Philanthropist Ring" (Increases Intelligence by 15)
apSYerasat "Quickness Ring" (Increases Agility by 15)
neloce(helmet)erasat	"Heavy Metal Ring" (Increases Agility by 10)
in-it(armor)esatit	"Socks Of Ages" (Females only, Increases Defense Power by 5)

As a final note, I'll tell you where I got the name "Tyvek" from. Aspiring sci-fi/fantasy
writers draw their inspirations and ideas from a number of sources, but none as bizarre as
this. I was watching one of those home improvement shows on TV with Bob Vila, and in this
particular episode, he was building a house and putting on insulation or drywall or some-
thing. And a repeating design was printed on the wallpaper: a figure of a typical house
with a pointed roof. But it had arms, legs, and a smiling face on the front. And near every
picture of that humanoid house was that word: TYVEK. What did it mean? Was it some kind of
trademark name for a synthetic building material? Whatever it was, it sounded cool, so I
claimed the name for myself.
