FF3us: Heaven and Hell patch

USE THE PATCH ON A BACKUP ROM! COPY AND PASTE A NEW ROM FROM YOUR CURRENT COPY AND PATCH THAT ONE!

If you need a ROM patcher, get SNESTool at http://www.zophar.net/ (Try the Utilities section) Put the program in the same directory as your ROM and patch, activate the proggie, select "Use IPS," and follow the instructions that come up near the bottom of the window/screen.

If you need the ROM, go to the site I said above (zophar.net). They have links to ROM sites for ya. Use the little Java menu (or whatever language SG used) to find the links section.

Contains 5 new monsters and 1 new Rage!

Where to go:

Go to where the Dinosaur Forest used to be. There will be something of a mountainous skull sitting there. You can enter by walking through the top part (Don't bother going north or walking into the tower, there's nothing there). In this forest is where the main attraction is located. The field surrounding the skull is where the curtain jerkers lie. :)

Enemy groups and where they are:

Heaven, Hell, Speck 2: Heaven and Hell are incredibly tough in their own right, and Speck 2 will be a pest. Find this group in the forest. Remember, it is possible to defeat them. Even with my best unhacked file, however, it was very tough to beat them at first. I don't feel they're perfect yet, but this file will make you wish you'd never been born, especially my weird choice of music designed to attack, quite frankly, your frame of mind for this battle. I haven't had the displeasure of taking on these upgraded ones however. And just before I made the patch, I gave Speck 2 his own repeat attack. It won't do much damage, but it should be annoying. Be careful.

You're just lucky I couldn't write my own song into the game. :)

Hell: Hell alone should be quite the challenge if you don't attack viciously. In fact, if you attack carelessly you'll face a combo worthy of his name, and if you survive that, here's a hint of the 2nd, 1 part move of this attack: "Too much to count..." Face Hell alone in the forest.

Heaven: Heaven comes alone on the field sometimes, and when he does he sets himself up to be defeated. I'm not sure how you'll find this battle, but I inserted Shrapnel as a 2nd attack in his 3 hit combo that comes up every other turn so he'd have a decent shot at killing you (I discovered his attacks alone weren't powerful enough, alone it looked like he could have virtually created draws against the inexperienced, I haven't face him yet though). As I was setting up the templates, it looks like there's more than 1 place to find Heaven alone.

Gen. Leo and Virgo IV: You won't find these two in the field, they'll find you. You will always end up in a pincer, and be careful of Virgo's power. Leo alone can rip you apart, but Virgo has energy coursing through his veins. You'll see it in his attacks.

NOTES:

All other enemies besides CzarDragon (not included in the game) have a set attack list of 3 Battle in a row and an elemental counter of some kind that shouldn't work.

Gen. Leo now has his own commands and Virgo has had a new final added on. All of you who thought Heaven and Hell were easy, have some fun with these two morons. >:)

And I'm pretty sure I spelled vengeance wrong, but you won't care by the time you beat them.

Dischord: I don't know how to block this, so if you can hit any of these monsters with it, tell me which you hit via e-mail. This will help me locate it if I haven't blocked it already.

I know someone will notice this: When you use the patch, you may see the patched ROM suddenly gain 1 MB of data. The 1 MB it tacks onto the end seems to be trash, as it doesn't look like anything's been moved. If you want to delete it, go ahead, but make sure you delete everything AFTER the 3001FFh mark.
