I. Disclaimer
This hack was made by Hiro410. You have my full permission to post this patch on your site
UNDER THESE CONDITIONS: (1) You MUST include this readme along with the zipped copy of the
patch. (2) When you upload the patch to your site, you MUST upload it as a .zip file!
--(That was pretty clear in rule #1, but I just wanted to make it a separate rule.)--
  (3) You must NOT edit this readme IN ANY WAY.
Also, I would appreciate it if you'd me know through e-mail if you
have uploaded the patch to your site, and the address of your site.

II. What's Different About CT5
Basically, CT5 is a Hardtype patch for Chrono Trigger, which means that most of the
enemies' stats have been hacked to make them harder to defeat.
Also, the character stats have been lowered to a degree, so when you hit certain
peak levels you will not be as powerful as you would be in the original version.
One more thing I did to add more of a challenge to the game is remove most equipment
from the characters, so your defense will not be very high at the beginning.
The tradeoff is that you get more experience from battles, so you will have the chance
to get to a high level early in the game.
For instance, in order to withstand the Guardian's power, you will probably need to be
   around level 25-30.
Well, maybe not THAT high, but enough to keep you in battles for a while.
I eased up the beginning a little to allow you to level up for the VERY, VERY,
tough battles in the latter half of the game.
Anyways, now I will give you some general strategies for dealing with some of the
enemies, and maybe even a boss or two!

III. General Strategy From the RPG Pro
Well, quite a few things have been covered in the above section, but in this section,
I will go a little further in detail.
First off, I've started you off with a little more GP, so go ahead and spend it all on
Tonics, Revives (you'll need a LOT of those), and maybe even that sword from Melchior.
Then, go either to the forest or to Gato in the festival and level up until you fall
    asleep on the keyboard :)
Remember that most enemies will have a lot more Strength than usual, and that you will
have lower HP, Strength, and Defense; this is crucial to your success in Time's Fury.
Also remember that the average Boss (in the earlier parts) has about 100-150 Strength,
so prepare ahead of time, and make SURE that you are fully healed BEFORE the battle
    begins.
A good general battle strategy is to put two people on healing duty, and put one very
strong person on attacks, because I also increased the speed of monsters, so they will
    attack MUCH more frequently.
So, to sum it all up, put more focus on defense, rather than attack.

IV. Credits
Well, I (Hiro410) was the only one working on this project, but I would like to thank
Jathys for making the Gears editors (which I used for this project), and JCE for
suggesting general strategy instead of full game strategy (and reminding me to make a
   readme).

V. What's Next for Time's Fury?
Well, since this is a preliminary release, I will be making more versions of this patch.
Since I don't have a site (or a server that will host me), I will submit all patches to
popular emulation sites like Zophar.net, or anyone who wants to have this patch on their
site (as long as they follow the rules of the Disclaimer shown above).
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please e-mail me at
  ffdragoon@yahoo.com.

  This is Hiro410, signing off.
  Enjoy the hack :)
