    Do not ask me about <<your emulator here>> support under SPC.
    It's a SPCPLAY front-end from zsKnight and _Demo_, DOS. It has mouse
 support, some extra features, a nice interface and easy use. Try it.

   2. System Requirements:
  =========================

 - MOUSE driver (like Microsoft or Logitec);
 - SPCPLAY 0.100 beta;
 - Some SPC files to listen (min. 1);
 - A color videoboard;
 - SoundBlaster 16 or 100% compatible;
 - Enough free conventional memory to run. If SPC displays "Program too big
 to be allocated in memory" when you play a SPC file, use the excellent
 SHROOM.COM to free memory;
 - SHROOM.COM, ready to download at own EMU-SOFT Fx;
 - MS-DOS 5.xx or better (Windows 95 recommended);
 - 500Kbytes free disk space;
 - 8Mbytes RAM.

   3. Installation and use:
  ==========================

 - Unzip the file ESPC16.ZIP at directory with the SPCPLAY and SPC files;
 - Type SPC in the MS-DOS Prompt. The GUI is simple!

 The English ZIP includes: ESPC.EXE, ESPC.MAP e SPC_E.TXT (this).
 ESPC is the SPC english file.

 OBS: It isn't supported to change directory. Why? Because SPCPLAY wouldn't
 stay in different directory from SPC files! ;-)
 Let all at same directory and enjoy yourself!

 # THE GUI #

 => See more above about how to use PLAYLIST.
 => It has 2 flaps now: "Main" and "Playlist". This is the "Main" window:

 * It has 4 windows:

 - The upper-left window shows the SPC files found in current directory.
 Highlight one filename and click "OK" button to play. A second click will
 play the file (fast!).

 - The upper-right window shows SPCPLAY supported options:

            [ ]-Force 8-bit sound output.
            [ ]-Enable sound Buffering.
            [ ]-Disable ADSR->GAIN effects.
            [ ]-Stereo Sound (16-bit only).

  -> "Stereo sound" and "Force 8-bit sound" can't be checked at same time.
  -> If the first option is enabled, then the last can't be enable. The
  reverse is valid too!
  -> "Buffering" removes some sound quality and speeds up emulation.
  -> The ADSR->GAIN enabled helps and muddles the sound quality. It avoid
  "loopings" in some musics, distortions, and "battery" <-> "organ" out of
  sync. Music notes can be "emended" or too long, but the "battery" will
  be 100% OK; if disabled, it happens the reverse. ;-)

 - Window "Sound Sampling Rate (Hz)":
 The default value is 8000Hz. High values gives better sound; lower, worst
 sound. You can check only one frequence.

 *** The right mouse button opens a little menu with these options:

                        RETURN TO DOS
                           CANCEL

                        MS-DOS Prompt

     YOU MUST SELECT USING THE KEYBOARD ARROWS!

 * WARNING: If you got an procedure error showed by SPC debugger, ONLY close
 the DOS box when minimized, or you'll get "This program causes and illegal
 operation and will be closed..."

 => NEVER expect news about SPC in any messageboards.

 (= PLAYLIST USE =)
 ------------------

 => You can have only one playlist file for now.
 => The "Playlist" flap will not open unless you add some files to playlist.
 In the "Main", click "Playlist" button below OK button and select
 "Add to list" option. Repeat it to add more files.

 => The next step is easy. Click now in the "Playlist" flap. A new window is
 openned and you'll see the filenames added. A quick test can be do clicking
 two times in a selected file.

 => A new menu was added to the mouse right click. Be sure to put mouse cursor
 under playlist box. These are the options:

 " Rename title " => Changes the music title (default: filename).
 " Delete music " => Delete music reference from playlist.
 "  "
 " Copy " => Copy the selected track.
 " Insert here (Paste) " => Insert (paste) copied track under the selected.
 " New title (Empty) " => Insert a blank title.

 => Options:

  "[ ]-Start playing the selected."
  "[ ]-Repeat sequence.           "
  ""
  "[ ]-Play in inverse sequence. "

 => Press "Start" button to begin! Now, the commands are:

 While playing, any key stops SPCPlay ("Paused" status). Now, use "UP" or
 "DOWN" keyboard arrows to back one track; <ESC> to quit playing sequence;
 <other key>- next track.

 At right window corner, you see the actual filename and a "SPC status".

- Waiting... => Just waiting your action...
- Testing... => It's playing only the selected file (two clicks).
- PLAYLIST mode => The PLAYLIST sequence was started.
- Paused. => In PLAYLIST mode, but is in pause, waiting a command.
