Programmer's log:

Version 1.0:

Febuary 23 2003:
This utility was originaly made to decode FF3us/FF6j, with the intention to
create some missing sprites for the NPCs. As I have failed to do so (being a
terrible tile artist), this utility will be cleaned up for an eventual public
release.

March 17 2003:
Added some XP look and feel to the menus and toolbars.

March 23 2003:
That's a wrap!!

General commands:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The "Palette" spin button and edit box select the index of the palette used.
Changing this won't affect the game to display the characters in any way!! It is
only there to help you, the user, to have a preview of what will be.

The "Battle" radio button select the palettes used for battles.

The "Ov. w." radio button select the palettes on the over world.

At any time it is posible to edit the colours of the palette by double
clicking on one.

The "auto" checkbox automatically select the right palette for the selected
sprite. I suggest to always use the "Ov. w." setting, as the "Battle" setting
might show weird result for some NPC (non-playable characters).

On the lower pane...

The "Sprite ID" spin button and edit box select the actor to be displayed and
edited.

The "Show tile ID" is used to trace which tile you should edit for a given
animation frame.

The "Stop!"/"Animate" button turns on and off the animations simulator.

The "+frame" button increment the animation frames manually, when they are not
controled by the application.

Edit commands:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Use them to edit the selected tile. You'll find utilities to copy, paste,
erase, paint, flood fill, shift, rotate and mirror the selected tile.

Import/export commands:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Export and import raw SNES tile data or palette.

Bugs/limitations:

* If resised, the vertical scroll bar control pointer of the application is 0?!
  Therefore, it cannot be controlled!!
* It is unlikelly that this utility be part of FF3usME

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To do:

* NPC driver, only the "main characters" can be animated correctly.
* Copy/paste full palette.
