Version 0.03b - 24 October 2001
===============================
- Fourth Public Release (1-year anniversary release ^_^)
- FILE MANAGER PART:
  * _HUGE_ cleanup of the file detection scanning... Now, PsxTulz reads the beginning of the
     file once, stores that in memory, and scans this to detect a recognized format.
      (previously: every format re-scanned the beginning of the file)
       -> faster file format recognition (starts quicker) && is better for your cd-drive ^_^
  * auto-detection of IDE/SCSI/Standard functions (you don't have to change this in the options
    anymore... deleted the choices...) -> much easier to use ('PsxTulz for dummies' ^_^;)
  * Safer wnaspi32.dll initialisation. If the version is too old, PsxTulz will tell you.
    If no wnaspi is available, it still should play some (not much) files on PSX CDs, but only
    in standard access mode (no direct sector access available then)
  * Corrected several bugs in the CD/DVD-ROM detecting mechanism... HUGE bugs...
    I wonder why I didn't receive more complaints about these... ^_^
    Anyway, more drives should be recognized... even under Win2K ^_^ Previous versions didn't
    recognize the CD drives under 2k... so I've implemented a CD drive assignment system...
    If you have 2k and 1 cd drive, it's assigned automaticaly, if 2k and 2 or more cd drives,
    it displays a dialog box and asks to the user to assign the correct drive letter to the
    cd drive...
  * corrected a stupid bug... when no .ini file is available, it didn't load the correct
    defaults... This wasn't a big problem in previous versions, but if that happened with this
    version, it crashed the system...
  * moved the drive selection boxes into comboboxes that are always visible (easier to change
    one of the drives if you're only using the mouse) Removed the 2 commands from the main menu.
  * now you can enter a directory and play a file just by right-clicking with the mouse...
    this speeds up the directory browsing... and requires less efforts from the user ^_^
  * Added the file date & time decriptions, removed the file type column in the left and right
    panes
  * added a 'File Line count' function... that counts the number of lines of a file...
  * shell integration: if you try to open a file, and PsxTulz doesn't recognize it,
    it can launch the right application, just like Windows explorer does.
    Even files with special filenames, (e.g. with japanese chars in it) are correctly passed
    to the windows shell (normally, such files can't be opened with Windows Mediaplayer under
    Win95/98... but if you send it via PsxTulz, it plays without problems ^_^)
  * starting to implement "Extract CD Sectors" function (still buggy)
  * starting to implement "Extract CD Image Sectors" function (DiscJuggler 2 and 3 formats -
     still buggy)
  * Redesigned the 'CD Info' dialog box's contents & form (now fits on a 640x480 screen,
    removed some info that were only useful to me,... )
  * Implemented a system info dialog in the Help menu with info about CPU, memory, VGA Card,
     Soundcard and codecs.
  * implemented a show/hide mediaplayer/playlist window command
  * implemented command line support
  * Better .PSM file support: STR _and_ XA are supported in PSM files now, and PsxTulz
    decodes the PSM data better... (+ correct size in display)
  * Starting to implement status bars for the two panes
  * in the 2 panes & in the playlist, when a line is selected, the whole row is selected
     now instead of the filename only... this makes it easier to select something & to see
     what's selected
- MEDIA PLAYER PART:
  * _HUGE_ cleanup of the play functions
  * Improved the media window: windowed playback doesn't hide the toolbar anymore,
      media window position is saved in .ini file, added a menu to the media window
      (& moved some options into that menu)
  * Audio-only files playback: Changed the sound synchronisation mechanism to 'interrupt driven'
     (previously 'continuously polling')
     -> CPU usage dropdown from 100% to 15% (and less) on my computer (K6-2-400)
       (Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... feels good ^_^)
     -> You can do other things with PsxTulz while the media is playing (the sound playback has
        its own thread)
  * Video files playback: Changed the sound synchronisation mechanism to 'interrupt driven'
     (previously 'continuously polling')
     -> CPU usage dropdown from 100% to 50% (and less) on my computer (K6-2-400)
       (Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... feels good ^_^)
     -> smoother video playback (see the intro movie of FF7 (the stars) for a good example)
     -> You can do other things with PsxTulz while the media is playing
  * Made the program multithreaded, so that you can select a 2nd file into the playlist
     while another file is playing, without crashing the program
  * Implemented a playlist function:
     -> playlist window position is saved in .ini file
     -> implemented playlist menu & toolbar commands:
	 open/save playlist, up, down, delete, delete all, file info, loop, load & save playlist
         (thus, 16 mediaplayer/playlist toolbar buttons out of 21 work now...)
  * Added media looping
  * Better WAVE file support (all formats should be supported now)
  * screenshot & pause/stop shortcuts (space and 's') commands are limited to this application...
    now you can type in another program while PsxTulz is running in the background without
    taking screenshots or stopping the movie :)
  * Redesigned the toolbars: instead of using the windows functions, I'm using my
     own functions (those I made for Bren10, but improved)...
  * implemented some mediaplayer toolbar commands: play/stop/next/previous/file properties/
     repeat/minimode... (minimode: hides the main window and the playlist, so that only the
     mediaplayer is displayed)
  * implemented an 'Always on Top' command for the mediaplayer
  * starting to implement a slider on the mediaplayer toolbar
  * small correction of the XA decoding algorithm
  * ADX & AFS audio file formats implemented (still buggy)
  * Better .XA file support (some bugs fixed + correct size in display)
    (XA files with only 1 channel or with empty channels should play now)
  * changed the 'file properties dialog' a little bit
  * corrected && added some fields in the 'File Properties' dialog
  * Now you can choose your timer routines: 'WM_TIMER' for old CPUs, 'low cpu usage' for fast
    CPUs and 'full cpu usage', which was the old timer routine. I did this because the new 'low
    cpu usage' routine tends to lock the system after a while on slow CPUs like my Pentium120...
  * PsxTulz detects the maximum sampling rate of your sound card and plays audio at the max
    sampling rate of the card if the sampling rate of the file is higher... this just means that
    the sound will be played at the maximum quality of your soundcard, no matter if you have
    an old SoundBlaster, or a new LivePlayer Platinum... This also means that if your soundcard
    can play 48khz audio, it will play 48khz audio files at 48khz (In the previous versions, I
    limited it to 44,1 khz).
    Mediaplayer 6.4 has problems with 48khz audio on my 44.1 khz AWE64 soundcard... instead of
    playing it at 44.1 khz, it plays it at 8khz... )

Version 0.03 - 11 February 2001
===============================
- Third Public Release
- (finally !) Added 2352-bytes/sector read functions:
  - IDE functions (still too slow to run on certain PCs !)
  - SCSI functions
  Added 'CD-ROM access mode' to the general options (stored in .ini file)
  Now all the movies should play correctly, even from PSX CD's !
  (the 'standard' 2048 bytes/sector mode is still available)
- Added a quite complete 'CD Info' function
- Added 18900 khz .STR Movie files support
- Added Mono .STR Movie files support
- Added .XA Audio files support (still buggy)
- Added .DA Audio files support (some Wave file formats, not the CD-Audio format...
  some PSX cds have a CDDA dir with wave files, e.g. Ridge Racer Revolution, Rage Racer,
  Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Remix, ...) (I like features that are easy to implement, like this
  one... ^_^)
- Added .PSM files support (PSmplay analyse Data file - I hope Segu doesn't mind... )
- Better video image quality: Added movie option '15-bit mode' and '24-bit mode' (previously
  always in 15-bit mode) Also added a check in DirectDraw to see if the resolution change was
  successful (it tries the specified mode, if that fails 32 -> 24 -> 16 -> 8 -> 4-bit mode...
  one of these resolutions should be available... no?)
- Added a menu option 'windowed mode'
  (was already implemented when you unchecked 'fullscreen', but this is specially for Bobbi ^_^)
- DirectDraw and DirectSound changes:
  * should be safer (always cleaning the variables before running... this sometimes makes the
    difference after a crash)
  * Windowed mode doesn't use DirectDraw anymore.
  * DD & DS are now linked dynamically... you don't need DirectX to run the program anymore
    (no fullscreen/sound without directX though)
  * Multimonitor support is OK in windowed && fullscreen mode now.
  * should work with previous versions of DirectX (version 3 ?)
  * fullscreen mode now has its own window (not using the windowed movie window anymore for this)
- corrected the FF9 movie format sound (speed & quality)... should be the correct speed now...
  still have sound distortions with some files though...
- corrected a bug in the listview (after changing x times from directory, the files would
  display slower and slower, until nothing was shown anymore)
  -> result: displays the directory contents faster
- Added a font selection box for the memcard (japanese) display (-> MS Mincho is no longer
  required)
- Added an edit box for the screenshot directory in the general options dialog (you had to edit
  the .ini file to change this dir in the previous release)
- Cursor is only hidden for fullscreen mode now
- Added a 'mail to the author'- function ^_^;
- disabled the GT2 movie video part, so that PsxTulz doesn't crash, but plays the music...

===============================
Version 0.02 - 01 November 2000
===============================
- Second Public Release
- added Metal Gear Solid PSX movie format
- general cleaning & restructuration of movie detection scanning...
  (did this because some of the FF7 movies weren't detected correctly)
  results: - all FF7 movies can be played without problems now
           - Ridge Racer Type 4 opening movie doesn't display a green screen when starting anymore
           - movies like Metal Gear Solid can have garbage sectors at the beginning of the
             file
           - enhanced "lame mode" (sometimes sound will be corrupted, or it won't play,
             but at least the program tries to play it. Better than nothing...)
           - should support even more files now !
- Changed DirectX version from 7 to 6 for NT users (not finished yet)
- Starting to implement Multi-Monitor support.
  (Fullscreen is OK, windowed mode doesn't display on 2nd monitor)
- Starting to implement a File Manager
  -> Removed the 'File-Open' Command (you can doubleclick on the files
      immediately now)
  -> Moved the movie window to a child window (not always in WS_TOPMOST style -
     you can hide it now !)
  -> added File Copy, Move, Delete, Rename, New Directory, New File
- Starting to implement .ini file
- Added General options (stored in .ini file)
- Changed File Compare utility so that it doesn't write a file to the D:\ drive anymore
- Now you can stop the movie by pressing the spacebar
- You can also make a screenshot during playback by pressing 's' (.BMP file will be created)
  You can change the target directory of the screenshots in the options
- Added a 'go to the WWW page'- function
