Welcome to DodGE, the The Dos Game Emulator. The goal of DodGE is to play
old DOS games in current versions of Microsoft Windows with a minimum of
hassle.

Requirements:
A recent version of Windows and a fast computer (no real details on how
fast yet, but a P3-667 is more than fast enough). A ready-to-run DOS
game.

*NOTE*
This is an early beta release of DodGE. Many games will not work
with DodGE yet, but some will. See the web site (www.eliel.com)
for details, to suggest games, to report problems, etc. Feel free to email
comments and suggestions. If you are not comfortable running Beta software,
please watch the web site for new versions!

If you like it, to support this program and encourage further versions,
please register DodGE! Visit the web site for details.

 Installation
=======================================================
Unzip all of the files here in the zip file into a single
directory. Run DodGE.exe to start the program and use the
menu File|Open to load the executable (.EXE or .COM file)
of the game you want to run. Select Emulator|Run to start the game!

=======================================================
 Quick Start Notes
=======================================================
If the game is running too fast, you may set the 'max speed'
using the Emulator|Set Max Speed... menu item. You can see
the current speed of the emulator in the lower right corner
of the DodGE Window. It looks something like: 70121 - 30312.
The first number is the number of instructions executed, the
second number is the speed gague. DodGE will limit this speed
number to be no less (no faster) than the number you enter using
Set Max Speed.

To run your game, you must open the .exe, .com, or .bat file
that you would type into the command line. For example, to
start the game Pango in DOS you would type 'Pango', which would
load and run Pango.exe. Therefore, to start Pango in DodGE, you
must load Pango.exe using the File|Open command.
