MAME32ASM - Assembler 68k-core MAME32

----------
What's "MAME32ASM" ?
----------

"MAME32ASM" is an unofficial build of MAME32, used 68k assembler core
(same as DOS version). Faster, but maybe more unstable than C version :-p
The latest version has almost same stability as C version.

The latest version has been built from :

    - MAME 0.36 beta12
    - MAME32 0.36 beta10
    - Unofficial MAME32 w/ AutoFire 0.36 beta9

  with some optimizations.

I'd like to say thank you to MAME team and all other MAME-based software
  developers.

----------
How to run MAME32ASM?
----------

MAME32ASM requires some DLLs which are included in the official MAME32
  archive.
So, first, please unzip the official MAME32 archive, and put mame32a.exe
in the same directory as mame32.exe, and duoble-click mame32a.exe to run.

History
----------

0.36 beta12 (build 991218)
 - This is temporary release (until official MAME32 has been released) and has
  some bugs :
     1. "modifiable_palette" has not been implemented, so colors could be
incorrect (official core has been changed)
     2. HAL21/Tank may not work correctly (official source could not be compiled,
so I changed the source, but it might be incorrect)

0.36 beta11 (build 991209)
- "Network Play" has been enabled.
- Added "Button Alias" function.
By using this function, you can assign an unused button as "2nd FIRE button".
This function is useful for the games which require "holding button" for
a larger fire (for example, R-Type, Detana!!TwinBee, etc.)
The setting has been added in "AutoFire" page in the property dialog, not
the TAB key menu. Will be added in the TAB key menu at the next release, if
 there are requirements ...
The default setting keys are used for the "aliased button", so you have to
configure unused buttons, such as Button5 or 6, in the default setting menu.

0.36 beta11 (build 991207)
- Fixed a program crash bug when audit "Pong!"
- Added "AutoFire" page to the property dialog. The setting in this page are
 saved to default/by-game-basis cfg file.
You can also use "AutoFire" in the TAB key menu for the temporary setting
change. This change is not saved to cfg files.

0.36 beta11 (build 991206)
- Added "readme" (this file)
- Now, my optimization on "make68k.c" has been included in official 0.36 beta11
distribution. Do you think MAME32ASM is still needed? :-)

0.36 beta10 (build 991124)
- Used official MAME32 beta10 core. Pls refer the official readme.txt. This also
fixed some bugs in previous MAME32ASM.
- Built with newer Namco System2 core, bug fixed by Mr. Keith Wilkins.

0.36 beta9 and older
- I forgot :-p
