I. About the Game
-----------------
"Aim for the Ace!" is, surprisingly, the only game ever made that's based on the
classic 1970's manga, "Ace wo Nerae!" by Sumika Yamamoto, and the three popular
TV anime series, one movie, and one OVA series that were adopted from it. In
this game, you play as Hiromi Oka, a student at Nishi High. She is only a
beginner but has great aspirations to get to the top. Soon she realizes her
natural talent and, combined with her coach Jin's training, she's able to
compete on the same level as her idol Madam Butterfly, and win. Help Hiromi
achieve her destiny by defeating all her opponents in this exciting and
challenging pseudo-3D tennis game that all fans of the anime and tennis fans in
general should try out!

In addition to the story mode, there are also support for multiplayer games as
well as training modes to hone your skills.

IV. How to Start Playing
------------------------
You will need to apply this patch onto a ROM image of Ace wo Nerae. Please do
not ask us where to obtain this image, it can be done with a careful search of
the Internet. However, it is required that this patch be applied to the
ORIGINAL, unmodified non-interleaved ROM WITH HEADER (the checksum of the rom,
which is accessible with a program called SMC, should be 22130, and the size
should be exactly 1,049,088 bytes).

To apply the image, you will need an IPS patching program. The easiest one to
use would be IPSWin. You can get this and other programs from www.emuxhaven.net.
Open this IPS program and apply the patch in this zip file (ace.ips) to the
original Ace wo Nerae rom. This game uses a DSP1 chip so some emulators may have
difficulty running the game. After you patch the ROM, just start up your
emulator, load up the rom, and start playing!

The game can be difficult at times. If you need help with the story mode,
there is a password list on the project page in the official RPGOne site.

The game works on Super Wildcard DX2, SWC 2.8cc, Super UFO, Game Doctor
SF(3/6/7). The game doesn't work on a Pro Fighter Q. Note that you must ALSO
have a DSP1 gamepak plugin, such as Mario Kart for the game to work on a copier.

When you have completed the Story mode, and the credits have finished scrolling,
if you leave the game for 1 minute at the credits screen, you will be given a
bonus.

---------------
V. Known Issues
---------------
Certain emulators like ZSNES and Snes9x seem to have trouble displaying the
court textures correctly, so until this is fixed by the emulation authors, you'll
have to endure it or concentrate on multiplayer mode which does not have
this problem.

Once again, note that this patch MUST be patched into the rom that HAS a
header. Hint: Get the GoodSNES dump.
