                             Introduction

This here is a ruley little game for the Famicom Disk System, that came out
early in the system's life. At first it plays a little like an arcade-style
Final Fantasy Adventure, but after a little while it just becomes too furious
and hectic to withstand. Next time your idiot know-it-all friend says that
Nintendo is always about kiddie games, just point to the Riddle of Murasame
Castle, and bitchslap him in the head. Then invite all your other friends to
stomp and kick him. Fun for all!

                               Project

This translation was done in two nights: one for me to translate the game, and
the other for InVerse to design and insert the title screen. A few liberties
were used in the translation, but it's all in fun and will, in fact, only
enhance your gaming experience.

Version 1.0 - Everything's been translated and playtested, and the savegames
have been deleted. Stupid savegames! Screw you, savegames!

                               End-User

Patching roms (and disk images!) is deceptively simple. IPS.EXE is pretty much
the standard for DOS-based systems, though some people just HAVE to have their
graphical user interfaces and such. Anyways, get the .FDS format image (it's
usually called Nazo no Murasamejou) and make sure it's only two-sided, and not
four. Put the IPS.EXE, your rom, and your IPS patch in the same directory.
Then type in at the DOS command prompt:

ips.exe murasame.fds nazo.ips

(This assumes that the rom is murasame.fds of course! Be sure and change that
to whatever your rom's name is.) This tells ips.exe to take the file
murasame.fds and apply the patch nazo.ips to it. Now you should be all set! If
you have any more problems with ips patching, then may God help you.

As for getting the game started, most modern NES emulators can play FDS games.
FCE Ultra is my emu of choice, so let's just use that for an example. Making
sure first that you have the FDS BIOS, load the game. I inserts a disk, E
ejects, and S selects which side you want. Easy right? Just be sure and eject
the disk before changing sides. Use yer head, kid!

As for the actual game, it's pretty simple. Just hit A to use your weapon, and
B does your special attack. You have a limit for your special attack, but how
many you have, or how you recharge it, is not my problem. Hey, I just
translated the stupid thing, I don't have to know it inside-out, smarty.

                               Thanks!

This translation is entirely dedicated to the FeFeA (pronounced: feefee)
organization. Except TheRedEye, because he's an ass. Also except Sardius,
because he already had a translation dedicated to him. One is enough, I
think. For everyone else, though.. yeah.

Big big thanks to InVerse! Isn't his title screen pretty? InVerse just plain
  rocks, kids.

Thanks to Xodnizel for that perfect program I like to call FCE Ultra. I took
full advantage of the Cheat feature to beat this game. It's really hard!
Except sometimes the sound starts sounding really crappy, and I can only fix
it by deleting my CFG file. I dunno what's up with that.

Thanks to everyone who designed the tools I used to translate the game! The
true unsung heroes of emulation, these guys are. And once again, Jair saves
my ass with Relative Searcher. That program is just plain the best.

Thanks to Tomoe Shinohara. She contributed in no way to this game, but you
just can't help but smile after listening to Kuru Kuru Miracle, and that I
think deserves a mention. And Loop People just flat-out rocks your face.

                         Legal Made-up Stuff

This patch is ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN to be distributed with the Nazo no
Murasamejou disk image, patched or otherwise. This translation wasn't made to
pad a fucking rom kiddie's collection, it's so that everyone can enjoy this
really neat game. If you do something illegal with this (like, say, patching
a disk image you didn't pay for, maybe?) it's not my problem. Act responsibly!
Be smart, don't start! Uhhh, don't run on my wet floor! Oh, almost forgot!
This effort is in no way endorsed by, affiliated with, or supported by

they please keep in mind that this wasn't made with the intention of
infringing on their intellectual property, but with the spirit of fun and
enjoyment. Good night, and may God bless.
